Jared and his wife, Kelsey, live in Austin, Texas.  He is the son of Jean Ann LeGrand, grandson of Doris Schwartz and Wilbert Block, and great grandson of Otto and Martha Schwartz.

Jared graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in Construction Science in 2002.  Since graduation, he has been living in Austin, where he worked with two commercial general contracting firms (American Constructors and JE Dunn Construction) totaling 14 yrs.  During this commercial tenure, he was involved in an array of projects including new high rise construction, K-12 and higher educational facilities, retail center build-outs, office renovations, sports facilities, and more.  Progressing in his career, he fostered his passion for construction and the design-build process.  In 2013 he took this passion and founded Trailway Builders, LLC where he began his current journey in the residential real estate and investing markets.  In 2018, Jared obtained his real estate agent license from the Texas Real Estate Commission and joined the brokerage of StepStone Realty, LLC.  Jared has taken Trailway Builders from flipping a single house in his spare time to a multi-project firm that manages the entire design-build process.

Kelsey McKay, JD - DESIGNER / OWNER of PAPER CUP CREATIONS

Kelsey graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. degree in Psychology and then obtained her law degree at The University of Texas School of Law in 2004. She has since become a national expert on strangulation and spends most of her time training and consulting within the criminal justice system. Nonetheless, she has an eye for finishes and a natural talent for design.  In 2017 she started Paper Cup Creations as she began to expand her love to create new and unique places where people can call it their home.
